All It Take Is A Piece Of String
This morning as my wife was wandering around the bedroom one of our cats, Rainbow was there. Now Rainbow is about 18 years old. And in cat years that is a lot (Some might say 126 years old.).
And Tina picked up a piece of string off the dresser and began to wave it in front of Rainbow. Within a heartbeat Rainbow began to go crazy. She chased after that string, bit at it, clawed at and trapped it. All it took was a piece of string for an elderly cat to behave like a kitten.
I can only believe that if that is in a cat, then how much greater is the dwelling place of the Holy One? Why get caught up in our age when we can have our health restored, our mind renewed and approach Him as a little child.
So often I am asked where I grew up. My response is simple. "I haven't, I do not want to and I do not really see a future in it." Call it Peter Pan, but the idea of growing cranky and overwrought with things does not appeal to me. The idea of encountering aches and pains by seeing myself as old is not appetizing.
So, what is the "string" in your life that can bring out the youth in you? I submit each one of us must find it before it is too late.
Why get old and religious when we can be young in the Lord?
